We’re seeking a strategic Marketing Manager who understands how to authentically communicate the importance of digital self-determination while maintaining our commitment to transparency, community-driven growth, and ethical engagement.
What we’re looking for:
An experienced marketer who can balance traditional effectiveness with our principles of transparent governance and community empowerment. You’ll need to reach diverse audiences seeking alternatives to centralized platforms while respecting user autonomy and avoiding manipulative tactics.
Key qualifications we need:

3+ years of marketing experience, preferably with technology organizations or mission-driven companies

Deep understanding of digital rights, open-source principles, and community empowerment

Experience with content marketing, community-driven growth, and educational outreach

Commitment to ethical marketing that respects audience autonomy

Understanding of privacy-focused and open-source communities
What you’d be doing:
You’ll develop authentic marketing strategies, create educational content that demonstrates our values, manage our digital presence while practicing what we preach, and build relationships with target audiences including civil society organizations, privacy-conscious individuals, and educational institutions.
This is currently a volunteer leadership position that may transition to paid as we grow.
