Seeking CSTF Strategist

Hello CSTF community,

We’re looking for a visionary Strategist to guide CSTF’s long-term strategic direction and coordinate our multifaceted efforts to advance digital self-determination through technology development, education, and community engagement.

What we’re looking for:

An experienced strategic thinker who can see connections across our diverse initiatives and guide our evolution as both an organization and a movement. You’ll need to balance immediate practical needs with long-term vision while coordinating distributed volunteer efforts across multiple projects.

Key qualifications we need:

  • 5+ years of strategic planning experience in nonprofit, technology, or civil society contexts

  • Systems thinking ability to understand complex interconnections between technology, governance, and social change

  • Experience with nonprofit governance and distributed leadership models

  • Solid understanding of open-source, self-hosting, and digital rights concepts

  • Deep commitment to transparent, community-driven governance

What you’d be doing:

You’ll develop CSTF’s long-term strategic plan, coordinate between Wild Cloud development and educational initiatives, build ecosystem partnerships while preserving our independence, and guide organizational development as we scale our volunteer-driven structure.

This is currently a volunteer leadership position that may transition to paid as we secure funding.
